"Everything in the human body responds to the condition of our extracellular fluid ・
our internal 'marine aquarium.・Physiologically, it is a microcosm of the sea itself.・
-Rene Quinton
Extracellular fluid is basically human blood plasma, but there are several other fluids used in the human body for transport, export and basic performance of the cells in the body, such as lymph fluid, stomach acid, saliva, and mucosa. All of these fluids carry important chemicals, hormones and nutrients to the cells of the body. So why shouldn't you take good care of that extracellular fluid with marine plasma supplementation?

All About the Plankton Bloom Pt. III
Even though areas of the ocean have been found sufficient enough in macronutrients to support a plankton bloom, they have also been found to be lacking in Iron, which is essential for a plankton bloom to get started.
Scientists have found that by 'seeding' the waters with iron they've been able to get plankton blooms started in these barren areas of the ocean. There are a few good reasons for seeding the ocean with iron to start new plankton blooms.
1. Plankton are the basis of the food chain and provide food to many species of fish larva, so the number of fish is largely dependent on the amount of plankton.
2. Plankton blooms help pull carbon out of the atmosphere. Its been theorized that by seeding the ocean we can create plankton blooms large enough to halt global warming.
3. More Marine Plasma for us!

All About the Plankton Bloom Pt. II
Plankton require very specific conditions to get a nice plankton bloom started. There needs to be sufficient sunlight for the Phytoplankton. There also needs to be sufficient amounts of macronutrients and in particular the element Iron for a plankton bloom to get started. Macronutrients are chemical elements that many organisms need in large quantities in order to survive. Scientists have found areas of the ocean with sufficient light and macronutrients but lacking Iron so there are no plankton blooms. Coincidentally, humans need Iron to produce enough red blood cells otherwise we can develop a condition known as anemia.
By harvesting from these plankton blooms the makers of Original Quinton are ensuring that their product contains large percentages of Iron, and other essential nutrients.

All About the Plankton Bloom Pt. I
As you know, Marine Plasma is harvested from plankton blooms in the ocean. What you may not know is that the plankton bloom is made up of several different marine organisms that form their own miniature environmental cycle.
There are Phytoplankton, Zooplankton, and Bacterioplankton, each variety living at a different level of the plankton bloom and each carrying out a different responsibility. Phytoplankton live in the surface waters of the ocean. They are mostly algae and carry on through photosynthesis. The Zooplankton are small marine creatures such as tiny crustaceans that feed on other plankton within the plankton bloom. They live further down in the plankton bloom. Bacterioplankton are smaller organisms like archaea and they are responsible for remineralizing organic material within the bloom. These little guys are the recyclers of the plankton bloom and help to return some of the essential nutrients to the marine plasma that can be taken up by other phytoplankton.

Study Indicates Components in Seawater Can Help Dermatitis
Most of the research done on seawater and its benefits has been done in Europe. Over here in the states we just don't seem to be that aware of the possibility of taking a mineral supplement in the form of seawater.
Here's another pdf. on how well seawater works to heal the dermatitis in man, it also indicates that the components in seawater are what are responsible for healing the dermatitis.

Seawater Supplements Not Going to Dehydrate You
There are many things in the sea, in fact as I've said before on here, it's thought that all life came from the sea. So why is it so hard to believe that seawater properly filtered and packaged can be good for you?
Maybe, it's just the fact that we all know drinking seawater will make you ill. It's true, however, this is due to dehydration. There's lots of salt in seawater, so it will dehydrate you even faster if you drink it without fresh water available. Seawater supplements are not sold in large buckets of water, but small ampoules so you won't dehydrate by taking the supplement on a regular basis. Plus ideally people, you won't be taking these supplements without drinking that classic 8 glasses of fresh water on a daily basis.

Positive Outlook and Connection Between Mind and Body
There is a surprising connection between the mind and body. You've sometimes even heard a doctor acknowledge that connection by telling a patient that he or she won't work on the patient unless that patient is willing to think positive about the treatment and get involved. This is because its shown that a positive outlook and a positive effort towards feeling better has been shown to work.
Steve Beller at Curing Healthcare has a post on alternative therapies, like Seawater therapy or drinking Marine Plasma Supplements or just plain old acupuncture. Sometimes, I feel like acupuncture has been used as an alternative therapy for so long its become old hat.
Anyway, you'll find a lot of alternative therapies out there. Some of them will work and some won't. Perhaps, looking for a cure is part of that essential positive outlook that you really need to help your body heal.

Minerals Suspended in Seawater Easier to Absorb
Modern people tend to be low on certain minerals. In particular those minerals that are hard to absorb in certain forms such as magnesium. Yet, its been found that minerals suspended in ocean water can be absorbed more easily than minerals found in veggies. This applies to calcium, magnesium and a few other trace elements found in the sea. I'll try and find the studies that support this information and get it up on the site.

Dolpins for your Seawater Therapy
Look out sufferers of Psoriasis, Dermatitis and other skin conditions. You just may be getting a little assistance from Dolphins soon. It seems that Dolphin Assisted Seawater Therapy can help to relieve the pain some experience from bathing in seawater with severe skin conditions.
We all know that seawater has been used for probably thousands of years to clean out wounds and help restore skin to its normal feel and appearance, but sometimes its painful. After all, you are getting salt in an open wound. But the researchers found in this recent study that the dolphins help to distract patients who are undergoing the therapy. One more point for the dolpins folks.

Marine Plasma will Help You Detox
It’s a difficult diet to detoxify the body in order to improve your health. Many times you'll need to change what you eat, choosing only certain foods high in antioxidants and drinking lots of water. This can also be alternated with flushing out your system through water fasting. There are lots of symptoms that people experience when detoxing like: cold sweats, nausea, hunger, headaches, and fatigue. The symptoms themselves are sometimes bad enough to make people quit their detoxification before they experience the benefits of the detox process, a happier, healthier body. You can incorporate seawater and marine plasma into your detox diet to get through the rough spots a little sooner. Marine plasma is chock full of vital nutrients that can help the body flush out toxins and get balanced. Saltwater baths on a daily basis can help draw toxins out of your skin and can also help out with certain skin conditions like psoriasis.

Why Go with Marine Plasma? Because Kelp Supplements are Found to Contain Arsenic
Here's another reason to choose a marine plasma supplement instead of going with a seaweed or kelp supplement for your dietary needs. A company called Davis Enterprises has released a study finding that some major kelp supplement products can contain arsenic. Read more on the study and how it got started at UC Davis study finds high arsenic levels in herbal kelp supplements
Scary stuff. The FDA doesn't examine the vitamin and herbal supplements that are sold on today's market so you don't really know what you are getting unless you go with a reputable company that has been in service for years.

The Harvesting of Marine Plasma
How is Marine Plasma gathered for use? Well, its an involved process. It must be harvested ten meters from the bottom of the plankton vortex and thirty meters from the surface. Isothermic vehicles then transport the water to the Quinton labs where the water is sterilized and cold filtered to remove impurities within forty eight hours of harvesting and its completely packaged in vials within twenty four hours of arrival at the lab and ready to be shipped out.
This method ensures the marine plasma isn't contaminated by environmental factors and that it stays fresh until its safely stored in standardized glass vials.

Marine Plasma to Replace Antibiotics?
Many doctors fear the wrath of superbacteria, that we ourselves have created through the overprescription of antibiotics. For a long time the only solution to treating these new stronger bacteria was to create newer, stronger antibiotics and use them sparingly. But what if there were a way to fight off bacterial infections by making the body stronger?
Doctors are already working on ways to improve the body's own defenses so that it hs a better chance of fighting off bacteria and staying healthy. Yet, there is a source that has been used for over one hundred years in Europe in the form of Marine Plasma. So why aren't more doctors all around the world using it?

Rene Quinton and Original Quinton
I talk a lot about the Original Quinton products on here. Simply because, of all the seawater supplements and plankton products out on the market, only Original Quinton is 'Marine Plasma' and only Original Quinton has been carefully sterilized while still preserving the beneficial microscopic life within.
You know the company in Spain that makes Original Quinton still uses the same methods that Rene Quinton first developed to harvest marine plasma? In fact the Quinton family are still shareholders in the company, allowing them to benefit from Dr. Rene Quinton's extensive work in the study of Marine Plasma.
If you want learn more about Rene Quinton and his efforts you can head over to Wikipedia.org. I've heard that soon the company will be launching a new website, so I'll keep an eye out and alert you to its release.
